Kyler Murray, former OU football and baseball star, visits Sooners at Las Vegas Classic

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray made an appearance at OU's Las Vegas College Baseball Classic game against Ohio State on Sunday.

Murray played football and baseball for the Sooners from 2017-18. He was selected by Arizona with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

OU (5-4) will conclude its time at the Las Vegas College Baseball Classic with its game against Ohio State. It'll then return home for a game against Wichita State at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

What were Kyler Murray's stats with OU baseball?

Murray played for the OU baseball team for two seasons.

He played infield in 2017 and struggled at the plate despite racking up 12 stolen bases. Murray recorded six RBIs and 16 runs on .122 hitting.

But Murray made the move to centerfield in 2018 and made strides with his hitting. He recorded 47 RBIs and 46 runs with a .296 batting average, and he stole 10 bases.

The Oakland Athletics selected Murray with the No. 9 overall pick in the 2018 MLB Draft. But after winning the Heisman Trophy in 2018, he opted to enter the NFL Draft instead.

The A's still hold Murray's MLB rights, should he return to baseball.
