Kyle Allen explains how his friendship with Josh Allen will benefit the Bills

As soon as the Buffalo Bills had a vacancy in their quarterback room, nearly everyone brought up Kyle Allen’s name. That’s because of the known relationship he has with his new teammate, Josh Allen.

Case Keenum spent the 2022 as the No. 2 QB in Buffalo. He opted to sign with the Houston Texans this week.

Kyle Allen, who played for the Texans himself last season, now fills Keenum’s shoes with the Bills.

The two Allens have often been open about their friendship. The two Allens quarantined together during the COVID-19 pandemic and often are seen golfing together on social media.

It was not surprising to see Buffalo add Kyle Allen because of that. Even less so because general manager Brandon Beane is often on board with the idea.

When Beane traded for Keenum, the GM said a reasoning for that was because he felt Keenum’s personality would fit in well with the Bills locker room and Josh Allen.

All that makes sense. But in terms of football, Xs and Os, exactly… how does that matter? Kyle Allen did his best to explain.

The new Bills QB said with friendship comes respect. With respect comes a more willingness to help.

Makes sense.
