Get to know Boston Celtics public address announcer Eddie Paladino

Since the start of the 2003-04 NBA season, a singular voice has served as the Boston Celtics’ official public address announcer. Avid fans know exactly who we are talking about, Eddie Palladino. But the more casual fans among us only know the man from his very recognizable voice and manner of conducting business on the mic during Celtics games.

The East Boston native, a graduate of nearby Emerson College, holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications, Digital and Media Arts. He also went to local Grahm Junior College on his way to Emerson, making him an ideal option to fill such a role.

A Celtics season-ticket holder in the 1970s and 80s, Paladino witnessed several Celtics championship seasons in person and called the series that brought Boston Banner 17.

Get to know Palladino a bit more in a clip put together by the NBA themselves ahead of what very well could be Boston’s next “banner” year.
