Knicks' Mitchell Robinson expected to return and come off bench vs. Raptors

Knicks center Mitchell Robinson has missed the team's last 50 games while recovering from ankle surgery, but it appears that he is ready to make his return on Wednesday night in Toronto.

A source confirmed to SNY NBA Insider Ian Begley that Robinson is expected to play on Wednesday night, and the plan is for Robinson to come off the bench, at least initially, as he makes his return to the floor.

The 25-year-old, who last played on Dec. 8 in Boston, was officially upgraded to questionable on Wednesday morning.

Prior to the injury, Robinson was having one of his finest seasons as a pro, averaging 6.2 points, 10.3 rebounds (career high), 1.5 steals, and 1.3 blocks.

Isaiah Hartenstein has assumed the starting center role with Robinson sidelined, and played well during that span, averaging 8.2 points, 9.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.4 blocks.
