Knicks fans rejoice: Jalen Brunson playing in Game 3 vs. Pacers despite foot injury

The Knicks and their fans are breathing a sigh of relief − again.

Jalen Brunson is playing in Game 3 against the Indiana Pacers on Friday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

Brunson is trying to lead the Knicks to a 3-0 lead in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Brunson was listed as questionable coming into the day because of a sore right foot, leaving one of the biggest questions facing the Knicks unanswered.

The star guard suffered the foot injury in the final minutes of the first quarter in Game 2. He immediately signaled to the bench for a substitution (extremely rare for Brunson to do) and ended up going back to the locker room for treatment and missed the entire second quarter.

But Brunson, 54 years to the day since Willis Reed famous walked out of the tunnel, returned to the court during halftime for warmups to a roar from the crowd and loud "MVP!" chants.

Despite missing the second quarter, Brunson still finished with 29 points.

The injury-plagued Knicks are without OG Anunoby (hamstring strain) for Game 3.
