Knicks backup center out for rest of NBA playoff series vs. Pacers

New York Knicks backup center Mitchell Robinson is out for the remainder of the NBA Eastern Conference semifinals against the Indiana Pacers with an ankle injury.

Robinson played 12 minutes in Monday's Knicks Game 1 win, scoring 2 points with 2 rebounds. The Pacers' Isaiah Jackson got the better of him with 8 points and 5 rebounds.

New York has used its bench little in recent playoff games. Precious Achiuwa, a power forward who played 4 minutes in Game 1 and saw action in two games of the first-round series against Philadelphia, is likely to get more minutes. The Knicks' only other center is little-used Jericho Sims.
