Kirk Herbstreit puts Oregon among top 6 teams heading into Washington Week

The Oregon Ducks were innocent bystanders this past weekend, enjoying a bye week as chaos erupted around the rest of the college football world.

We saw upsets, thrillers and blowouts. A handful of teams in the top 25 lost, while others, such as the USC Trojans, were pushed to the absolute brink.

While the Ducks didn’t move at all in the US LBM Coaches Poll, other moderators have moved Dan Lanning’s squad up a bit. Though the first College Football Playoff rankings will not come out until the end of this month, it’s fair to start wondering how close to the top four the Ducks might rank in that initial release.

According to well-respected ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit, the Ducks are in the mix. Here’s where Herbstreit sees the rankings going into Week 7, and a massive top-10 showdown with the No. 7 Washington Huskies for Oregon.
