The Sacramento Kings will play against the New Orleans Pelicans in the final game of the Play-In Tournament on Friday, competing for the Western Conference final seed in the 2024 NBA Playoffs.

The Kings have advanced to the second game of the tournament after eliminating the Golden State Warriors with a 118-94 victory. Keegan Murray was the Kings' top scorer with 32 points, while De'Aaron Fox contributed 24 points to the win.

In the battle for the seventh seed, the Los Angeles Lakers managed to edge past the New Orleans Pelicans 110-106, securing their place in the playoffs. Despite Zion Williamson's impressive 40 points and 11 rebounds, the Pelicans could not overcome the Lakers. As expected, LeBron James led the Lakers with 23 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists. Anthony Davis also put up an excellent performance, scoring 20 points and grabbing 15 rebounds.

Now the Pelicans have one more shot to make it to the NBA Playoffs. The winner between the Sacramento Kings and New Orleans Pelicans will secure the eighth seed and face the top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder.

Sacramento Kings vs. New Orleans Pelicans predictions

The Oklahoman: Sacramento 115, New Orleans 110

Justin Martinez writes: "New Orleans swept the regular-season series in dominating fashion. But Williamson's injury should concern the Pelicans, and so should the way the Kings looked on Tuesday. Keegan Murray provided floor spacing, Domantas Sabonis dominated the glass and Keon Ellis brought tenacity on defense. I'll take Sacramento over New Orleans, which is tied for the second-fewest home wins out of the remaining play-in/playoff teams."

ESPN: Pelicans have a 65% chance to win

According to ESPN's Matchup Predictor, the New Orleans Pelicans have a 65.5% chance to beat the Sacramento Kings in the NBA Play-In Tournament.
