Kings give Keon Ellis the game ball after scoring his first NBA points

Sacramento Kings rookie Keon Ellis on Wednesday scored his first points in the NBA and was presented with the game ball after knocking off the Houston Rockets.

Ellis, who is signed to a two-way contract, has primarily played with the Stockton Kings in the NBA G League this season. He had totaled only nine minutes of action across three appearances prior to the game and finally saw his first scoring opportunity late on Wednesday.

With the game winding down, and the Kings up by 17 points, the undrafted guard from Alabama pulled up from behind the arc and drained the 3-pointer to cap off the 135-115 victory.

Ellis is averaging 14.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.7 steals on 36.9% shooting from 3-point range in 18 games with Stockton. He has scored in double figures 15 times, including a season-high 27 points, which he has hit twice.

He is 23rd in scoring among all players signed to two-way contracts.
