Kentucky transfer outside linebacker Keaten Wade commits to Coach Prime’s Buffs

Colorado’s work in the transfer portal continues to go well. On Friday, the Buffs earned commitments from two twins who spent the past two seasons at Kentucky, Destin and Keaten Wade.

Keaten Wade is an outside linebacker who played in a total of 25 games over two seasons with the Wildcats. The former four-star prospect recorded 51 tackles, 5.5 TFLs and 2.5 sacks in those two years, so this is a nice boost for the Buffs’ defense.

Wade is the first defensive transfer that Deion Sanders and the Buffs have brought in so far this offseason, His brother, Destin, is a quarterback who hasn’t gotten many opportunities to play at the college level just yet.

After a 4-8 season, it’s no surprise that head coach Deion Sanders and the Buffs have been extremely active in the portal, although they lost some big pieces in Van Wells, Anthony Hankerson and others.
