The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are targeting Kentucky's Liam Coen as their new offensive coordinator, NFL Network reported Friday.

Coen reportedly will leave the Wildcats to coach in the NFL for the second time in three years.

If Coen leaves, it will be the fifth straight season Kentucky has a new offensive coordinator — 2020: Eddie Gran; 2021: Coen; 2022: Rich Scangarello; and 2023: Coen.It also would be the sixth different OC for Stoops entering his 12th season — 2013-14: Neal Brown; 2015: Shannon Dawson; 2016-20: Gran; 2021: Coen; 2022: Scangarello; and 2023: Coen.

Coen joined Mark Stoops' staff in 2021 as the quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator after three years with the Los Angeles Rams as an assistant wide receivers coach (2018-2019) and assistant quarterbacks coach (2020).

In 2021, the Wildcats' offense finished fifth in the SEC for points per game (32.3) and eighth in total offense (425.2 yards per game).

After the 2021 season, he left UK for his second stint with the Rams and was Los Angeles' offensive coordinator in 2022.

Last year, the Rams offense finished last in total yards per game (280.5) and was one of the bottom 10 teams in the NFL for points scored per game (18.1).

Coen might have an opportunity to reunite with Baker Mayfield, who played five games for the Rams in 2022.

Mayfield, a free agent, passed for more than 4,000 yards for the first time in his career this season with the Bucs.
