Kathy Morris steps down as Adrian College women's basketball coach

ADRIAN — Adrian College women's basketball will have a new leader for the first time since 1992 after Kathy Morris announced her resignation on Wednesday.

Morris said in a press release from Adrian College she was stepping down to pursue other opportunities.

"We appreciate all of Coach Morris' hard work, dedication and commitment to our Women's Basketball program and our Athletic Department over her many years," said athletic director Craig Rainey in the release. "She has mentored and led many young women in our program and has been an outstanding role model to them. We appreciate all she has done for us and wish her the best in the next chapter of her life."

Morris is Adrian's all-time wins leader with a record of 332-461.

During her tenure, Morris coached 12 MIAA first-team honorees, four 1,000-point scorers and two All-Americans.

Morris also served as the Adrian College Athletic Compliance Officer.

The Bulldogs had their best season since 2016-17 with 10 wins.
