Kage Williams breaks Robbinsville career wrestling record with win at state quarterfinals

Kage Williams broke the Robbinsville wrestling record for most career wins in the NCHSAA 1A 190-pound quarterfinals on Friday.

The Appalachian State signee secured his 167th win via pin in 57 seconds against South Stanly's Aiden Wilson in Greensboro at the NCHSAA individual wrestling state championships.

The win makes him 39-0 this season with 24 pins and 167-1 in his career. His only loss came because he had to forfeit the Holy Angels final due to injury.

In addition to a spectacular individual wrestling season, he also led Robbinsville to the NCHSAA 1A dual team west regional final, where his team fell to Avery County.
