Jusuf Nurkic trolls Fox Sports host for Bradley Beal snub after Suns rout Lakers

Jusuf Nurkic keeps receipts.

The Phoenix Suns' starting center has no qualms about rubbing it in to detractors such as Fox Sports analyst Nick Wright, who previously devalued Bradley Beal's pedigree to help Phoenix win a championship.

After the Suns routed the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday, led by their Big 3 in Devin Booker's 31 points, Kevin Durant's 18, and Beal's game-high and season-best 37, Nurkic posted a GIF meme with Wright's face that has the caption "Nick Wrong, Common L" on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina native also poked fun with his additional caption that said "Just ... (cloud emoji) how he sleeps?"

Nurkic seemingly suggested Wright must be restless from his hot take about the three-time All-Star Beal on Fox Sports debate show First Things First in October. The discussion was about elite NBA duo's third options, in which he praised the Lakers' Austin Reaves as more impactful for LeBron James and Anthony Davis than Beal is for Booker and Durant.

"Let me be very clear: “I think if you’re trying to win a championship, I would rather have as my third guy, Austin Reaves and the things he does, than Bradley Beal if my top two guys are those guys," Wright said.

Wright doubled down when he was asked to clarify if he thinks Reaves is better than Beal.

Reaves initially was in the Top 10 among guards in the fans' All-Star Game voting, while Booker wasn't. But in the latest voting update Booker cracked the Top 10 and passed Reaves on the list.

The Suns aren't necessarily cruising with Beal, as they're are 7-7 with him in the lineup, and 3-4 with the Suns' Big 3 in their lineup because of injuries among them this season. The Suns have won five of their last eight games since Beal's third return from injury in the team's Dec. 29 win over Charlotte.

Beal is Phoenix's third-best scorer, averaging 17.9 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.8 assists, and shooting just under 40% from the 3.

After a New Year's Day victory over Portland that brought the Suns' win streak to four, Nurkic said Beal is "changing everything" and "makes a big difference for us" to help build chemistry.

Nurkic repeated that sentiment to The Republic and dismissed media critics after Beal's explosion against the Lakers.

"They're always talking about when we lose and they ain't playing hard and all that, but we know how much power we have," Nurkic said. "We just need to figure it out, and I told you that before that Bradley Beal makes a difference for us in a lot of ways, offense and defense. He's a big guard who can play both, but when he just plays this way, so much aggressive, changes the whole dynamic of our team."
