Just a knee bruise for A.J. Green
The Cincinnati Bengals were right not to be worried about star wide receiver A.J. Green when he landed awkwardly Thursday.
A magnetic resonance imaging exam on his knee revealed it was just a bruise and he should miss the next three days to recover, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.
The injury isn't nearly as serious as the hyperextended knee Green sustained as a rookie that sidelined him for nearly two weeks.
“A little off balance, just an awkward landing,” Green said. “Good the injury happened now, get time to rest.”
Exactly. This isn't a pivotal time for a proven young player like Green. It's the regular season that matters.
