Junior hockey: Willmar WarHawks earn a nice road win

Feb. 23—BREEZY POINT — Hudson Zinda's hat trick propelled the Willmar WarHawks to an NA3HL victory against the Minnesota Loons on Friday at the Breezy Point Hockey Center.

Zinda, a forward from Andover, scored the game's first three goals in Willmar's 4-2 win over the Loons.

The WarHawks improve to 14-27-2-1 in the West Division. Minnesota falls to 3-38-1-1.

The Loons were able to cut their deficit to 3-2 following a second period tally from Broden Fawcett and another score from Edouard Hamm in the third.

Sam Holm, a forward from St. Paul, sealed the WarHawks' victory with an empty net goal off an assist from Zinda.

Willmar's next game is against the Alexandria Blizzard at 7:10 p.m. Friday, March 1, at the Willmar Civic Center Arena.
