Josiah-Jordan James announces return to Tennessee

Tennessee guard Josiah-Jordan James announced he will return to Tennessee for a fifth season.

James averaged 9.0 points, 2.1 assists and 5.7 rebounds per game, while shooting 38 percent from the field since 2019 at Tennessee. He appeared in 108 games, including 87 starts, from 2019-23 with the Vols.

James was named to the Julius Erving Award watch list and earned preseason All-SEC honors prior to the 2022-23 season.

He was named to the 2022 SEC All-Tournament Team, averaging 14.0 points and 6.3 rebounds per game for the Vols’ 2022 SEC Tournament championship team.

James came to Tennessee from Porter-Gaud School in Charleston, South Carolina. He was the eighth Tennessee signee selected as a McDonald’s All-American.
