Joel Embiid, Sixers come in ranked 3rd in ESPN’s latest Power Rankings

The Philadelphia 76ers had an interesting week as they just recently finished up a long 6-game road trip only to come home and play a back-to-back at two different start times as the schedule continues to play a huge part in this season.

They went 2-2 during the week taking two bad losses to the Denver Nuggets and the Memphis Grizzlies and knocking off the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Minnesota Timberwolves. Due to the two wins, they were able to move back into a tie with the Brooklyn Nets for the top spot in the East and they also had Joel Embiid return from a bone bruise in his knee.

As ESPN released their latest Power Rankings on Monday morning, the Sixers remain third in their rankings for a second straight week:

The week might have ended with a thud thanks to a loss to the Grizzlies on Sunday night, but all that truly matters for the Sixers is that Joel Embiid is both healthy and back in the lineup. The Sixers remain tied atop the Eastern Conference with Brooklyn in time for a trip to Boston to face their rivals Tuesday night on national television.

The Sixers do now begin another road trip, this one will be four games, and it will be tough to keep things going in the right direction, but they will have the big fella back in the lineup and that is a big help for them right now. They will return from the road trip on April 14 and play host to those Nets in what will be a huge matchup.
