Joe Burrow showed support for Bengals OT Jonah Williams
The Cincinnati Bengals had some tension over the offseason when Orlando Brown Jr. signed with the team since he was taking Jonah Williams’ spot on the offensive line.
Williams said he was unhappy and requested a trade because the Bengals didn’t communicate with him throughout the process and the position change to right tackle, but quarterback Joe Burrow stepped in to support his teammate.
“We all talk about the chemistry we have in the locker room, and the team unity, and that’s just part of it,” Burrow said, per Mike Petraglia of CLNS Media. “That’s, I think, why we’ve had a lot of success here, because guys love each other in that locker room. That’s real love, true love that you have for your teammates.”
Williams is embracing the move to right tackle, and while there were rumors that he was being talked about in trades around the time of the draft, he will remain with the Bengals next season.
