Jan. 19—JAMESTOWN — The University of Jamestown women's swimming and diving team returned home to face off against Concordia College (MN.) and got a 121-74 win on Friday, Jan. 19, at the Jamestown High School Pool.

The Jimmies started the event off with a win the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:54.22, over ten seconds ahead of the Cobbers' team that finished in second with a 2:05.27. The Jimmies kept the good times rolling in the second event as the Jimmies' Megan Maxwell got the win in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 13:25.46.

The Jimmies run came to an end in the 200-yard freestyle race but they immediately responded with a win in the 50-yard freestyle. The Jimmies had the top three finishers out of the six swimmers that swam in that event. The Cobbers' Chea Baugh won in the 200-yard IM event, in what was a homecoming for the former Jamestown Blue Jays swimmer.

After another Cobber win, the Jimmies responded with a win in the 100-yard butterfly, kickstarting a run that saw them win the next five events.

The Jimmies return to the pool on Thursday, Feb. 8, at the KCAC Championships with the time still to be determined.
