Jimmies turn triple play in win over Marian
Junior Ben McAllister picked up the win and had two hits and three RBIs to lead the Jimtown past Marian, 7-3, in Northern Indiana Conference play on Wednesday.
Aiden Carithers also contributed two hits and three RBIs, while Connor Christman finished with three singles for the Jimmies. It was Marian's first NIC loss.
The Jimmies also turned a triple play in the game.
Joe Trenerry and Cayden Stockbridge combined for a one-hitter in Penn's 5-0 win over Elkhart. Trenerry struck out 13 over six innings.
Plymouth led Concord 9-6 after six innings, when the game was suspended by darkness. It will be resumed when the Minutemen visit Plymouth on May 3rd.
Penn softball pitcher Olivia Signorino tossed a no-hitter and struck out 13 to lead the Kingsmen past Elkhart, 7-0, in Northern Indiana Conference play on Wednesday.
Teagan Milewski collected three hits, including a homer, and drove in two runs for the Kingsmen. Shannon Rudge also had three hits and drove in a run.
Jimtown's Kiyla Eberhart hurled a three-hitter and struck out 12 in a Jimmies 4-0 win over Marian.
Eberhart, Kendal McPhee, Abbey Brown and Alexa Alvey each finished with two hits for Jimtown.
Behind four hits and two RBIs from Rachel Humbarger, Northridge rolled past NorthWood, 11-0, in Northern Lakes Conference play.
Felice added two hits and two RBIs for Northridge.
Warsaw led 7-1 and held on for a 7-6 NLC win over Goshen.
Kaelyn Marcum had three hits for the RedHawks.
In girls tennis, NorthWood got wins at singles from Britton Jesse, Tatum Evers and Gabriela Poblador in a 5-0 NLC win over Jimtown.
Ari Mosquera won at number one singles to clinch Concord's 3-2 Minutemen win over Bremen.
Northridge's Conner Hochstetler and Kaden Miller each shot a 40 and shared medalist honors in the Raiders 169-184 win over Fremont in boys golf.
