Jets place Mike Goodson on reserve-did not report list

The New York Jets placed troubled running back Mike Goodson on the reserve-did not report list.

It's apparently unrelated to his arrest in May on marijuana and handgun charges.

Goodson's agent, Kennard McGuire, told the New York Daily News that Goodson is missing time to attend to personal issues.

“We knew Mike was not going to report and we understand why he’s not here,” Jets coach Rex Ryan said.

Meanwhile, Joe McKnight was placed on the physically unable to perform list.

The Jets will rely on former New Orleans Saints running back Chris Ivory for now.
