JD Davison Boston Celtics Las Vegas Summer League highlights vs. Memphis Grizzlies (7/14)

The Boston Celtics are looking like draft geniuses after how their No. 53 selection from the 2022 NBA draft has been playing in Las Vegas Summer League. Combo guard JD Davison out of Alabama has been solid all summer league long, and in the Summer Celtics’ 108-91 blowout of the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday, Davison looked more the part of a lottery pick.

The Montgomery, Alabama native put up a game-high 28 points, 10 assists, and 3 steals on 9-of-14 shooting including 4-of-6 from beyond the arc and a perfect 6-of-6 from the free throw line to help Boston secure the win.

The Celtics have one more contest left in summer league action on Saturday when they will get a consolation tilt with the summer iteration of the Brooklyn Nets in which we can see if Davison can duplicate such a performance.

Until then, if you want another (or a first) look at Davison’s big game against the Summer Griz, check out the clip embedded above put together by YouTuber Tomasz Kordylewski.
