JC Latham’s 2024 NFL Combine profile

One of the top offensive line prospects in the 2024 NFL draft is Alabama offensive tackle JC Latham. The native of Oak Creek, Wisconsin spent three seasons at Alabama and established himself as one of the top offensive tackles to play under former Alabama head coach Nick Saban.

Latham started in 27 of the 41 games that he played in at Alabama throughout three seasons. He was a staple at the right tackle position. In 408 pass sets, Latham allowed just two sacks.

In all likelihood, Latham will be one of the first offensive players taken off the board in this year’s draft. He will likely have the option to play either guard or tackle at the professional level given his positional flexibility. Needless to say, he was able to display that and much more at the 2024 NFL Combine.

  • Height: 6’5″

  • Weight: 342 lbs.

  • Hand Size: 11″

  • Arm Length: 35 1/8

  • Wing Span: 84 3/8

Latham had the fourth-longest arm length among offensive tackles. He was behind Yale’s Kiran Amegadjie, Georgia’s Amarius Mims, and Houston’s Patrick Paul. His wing span was average in comparison to the rest of the offensive line that was measured. Latham had the second largest hand size behind Mims.

40-yard dash: N/A

Latham did not partake in the 40-yard dash. He will likely do so at Alabama’s Pro Day on March 20.

Among all of the offensive tackles at the 2024 NFL Combine, Latham was shorter than the majority. He was listed at 6-foot-5. Most offensive tackles in the NFL are 6-foot-5 or taller. Latham fits into that category, however.

The prototypical weight for an NFL offensive tackle ranges from 330-370 pounds. Latham weighed in at 342 pounds. That is the ideal weight for an offensive tackle that is transitioning from the college level to the professional level.

Biggest takeaway

The biggest takeaway was that Latham has the prototypical size to play offensive tackle in the NFL. He is also at a size that gives him the flexibility to be moved inside if an NFL team desires to make that change. Latham is one of the top pass protectors in this year’s draft and showed it time and time again during his college career. I would be thoroughly surprised to see Latham drop outside the top 15.
