Jaylin Williams returning to Auburn basketball for one more season with Tigers

MIRAMAR BEACH, Fla. — Jaylin Williams is officially back.

The 6-foot-8, 230-pound forward announced his return to Auburn basketball Wednesday afternoon. He had declared for the 2023 NBA Draft in April, but was sure to specify he was maintaining his eligibility. He has an extra year to use due to the pandemic-impacted season in 2020, which he is using.

"Last ride," Williams wrote in his Twitter announcement.

A Georgia native, Williams has appeared in 107 games with the Tigers after committing to coach Bruce Pearl as a four-star recruit in the Class of 2019 out of Brantley County High School in Nahunta. He was rated by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 19 power forward in his cycle.
