Jay Lindsey flips commitment from Mississippi State to Alabama football

Jay Lindsey announced his commitment to the University of Alabama football on Tuesday.

Lindsay announced his commitment on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

The three-star commit from Patrician Academy in Butler, Alabama, was originally committed to Mississippi State, but decommitted over the weekend and flipped to Alabama.

Lindsey is a 6-foot-4, 235-pound versatile tight end, and is listed as the No. 37 player in Alabama and the No. 46 tight end national 247Sports Composite.

He becomes the 19th commit in Alabama’s Class of 2024, which is ranked No. 4 in the nation. He is the second tight end in the class, alongside four-star Caleb Odom out of Carrollton, Georgia.
