Jason McCourty sees big changes coming for Patriots after the season

A former New England Patriots player believes big changes are on the way. That player is former NFL cornerback Jason McCourty, who believes the Patriots will blow things up in the offseason.

McCourty was successful during his time with the Patriots. He won a Super Bowl and was part of the New England secondary for three seasons. Jason, along with his brother Devin McCourty, made up a dependable part of the New England secondary.

Those Super Bowl runs feel like a long time ago these days with the team struggling with a 2-8 record. Now, Jason believes New England will be starting over following the season.

There have already been rumors swirling that Belichick will not coach the Patriots after the season, as the team currently holds the third overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft.

McCourty elaborated on his stance on Wednesday’s episode of “Good Morning Football.”

“I do think in New England, they blow this thing up at the end of the season,” said McCourty. “Whatever coach they go with, whether it’s Jerod Mayo steps up and he takes over and he decides to blow this thing up. I do think, at this point, you have to figure out because, when you look at this roster, there’s not a ton of talent.”

The Patriots still have some season left to play. However, the winds of change are starting to blow.
