Jane Asinde set to make UTEP women's basketball debut after return from concussion

The star of the UTEP women's basketball team's recruiting class, senior center Jane Asinde, is set to make her Miner debut Saturday afternoon against Missouri-Kansas City.

Asinde, a preseason All-Conference USA player who transferred from Wichita State when coach Keitha Adams made the move to UTEP, suffered a concussion in the Miners' exhibition game against New Mexico Highlands.

She returned to practice Tuesday after missing the opening win against Western New Mexico.

UTEP will still be without Dunja Zecevic, who is at a camp with the Serbian national team that will be used to select its Olympic team. Also at that camp is UTEP alum Katarina Zec.

Tip against Missouri-Kansas City is set for 4 p.m. at the Don Haskins Center.
