James Harden talks new comfortability with Sixers, being unselfish

The Philadelphia 76ers are heading into the 2022-23 season on a high note as they now have the benefit of having James Harden for a full training camp in order to build more chemistry with each other.

The Sixers have noticed a different Harden thus far to begin training camp. The team notices that he has a bit more burst and he is beginning to understand how the team wants things to run. Harden has a ton of responsibility out on the floor as both a scorer and a facilitator. He has a tough job.

Harden sat down with Sirius XM Radio and he discussed how he feels more comfortable with Philadelphia and is unselfish play out on the floor:

I’m one of the most unselfish players, probably I just think he’s ever saw. You go into a situation where Brooklyn where you got, you know, KD and Kyrie, to where they didn’t need me there to be a 30 point scorer. I mean, so basically facilitating, finding ways to impact the game, which I’m fine with that as well and then being traded here last year, Joel was, you know, he should’ve won MVP, but he was planning extremely well so you can’t come here and just expect an average 30 points. So again, find ways to impact the game. So now we get a full summer. Me knowing Jo a lot more me knowing Doc and the coaching staff and what they want, what they expect. Then, me being healthy finally. The past two and a half years, it’s been a struggle for me, because I wasn’t able to be who I knew I am. So all that in a pile was very frustrating, but you get a full season of health, of working out, and honestly getting back to where I needed to be. We had a training camp, not a training camp, but a workout where we wanted everybody to come to LA, workout for a week. We can get to know each other, workouts, and just catch a vibe. Go to dinners or whatnot. So that really helped our team and I feel like it helped me a lot.

Harden will be a huge key to whatever the Sixers do in the 2022-23 season. The Beard has to be on a different level than he did to end his first stint with the team in order to be in serious contention for a title.
