Jaguars OL Walker Little, WR Zay Jones considered 'day-to-day' with knee injuries

The Jacksonville Jaguars could be without offensive lineman Walker Little for some time after the third-year offensive lineman reportedly suffered a sprained Medial Collateral Ligament (MCL) during the team's 25-20 victory over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said Wednesday that Little is considered "day-to-day" with the injury and he will miss the team's practice later in the day. Pederson indicated Little's MRI scans were "clear."

Little had been the team's starting left tackle for four weeks, filling in for a suspended Cam Robinson before taking over at left guard for one week against Buffalo upon Robinson's return from a four-game suspension.

Little, drafted in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft, has filled in for Robinson throughout the course of his career, playing and starting 12 games at left tackle and one game at guard, including the playoffs.

Robinson returned to play against the Bills but was also knocked out of the contest due to an elbow injury. Pederson said Monday the veteran left tackle will be "fine," and indicated Wednesday that he thought Robinson did "well" in his first game back.

"Obviously, a really good pass rush that we went up against last week, but he was in a really good frame of mind," said Pederson. "He prepared well, had a good week of preparation and I thought overall, coming back, [he] did a nice job."

Jaguars receiver Zay Jones is also considered "day-to-day" according to Pederson.

He will also miss Wednesday's practice due to the injury, with Pederson indicating that his MRI scan was also "clear."

Jones returned against the Bills after missing the previous two games due to the same injury. Jones played 38 snaps and was targetted five times, catching three passes for 23 yards and a touchdown. Jones scored the team's first touchdown of the game against Buffalo.

With Jones out of the lineup, the Jaguars turned to Jacob Harris, who is on the team's practice squad and Tim Jones.

The Jaguars could be getting some help back for an already thriving defense with linebacker Devin Lloyd returning to practice, according to Pederson.

Lloyd missed the team's London series after fracturing his thumb during the team's loss to the Houston Texans in Week 3.

Lloyd has accounted for 19 tackles and three pass breakups in three games this year. In his place, the Jaguars have used 2022 third-round pick Chad Muma as the team's starter against the Falcons and Bills. He accounted for 13 total tackles in two games.
