The Jaguars facing the Texans is a great first test for Leonard Fournette

Jaguars rookie running back Leonard Fournette is one player that fans are excited to see this season. Fournette and the Jaguars go up against the Texans this Sunday in a division game that should be a great one to watch. The Texans defense should definitely challenge the Jags offense overall, but specifically Fournette himself.

With his size and speed, Fournette should be able to handle defenders without any problems. Although, the Texans defense always plays physical and makes offenses’ pay the price. How will Fournette be able to handle this type of defense?

Fournette played in the SEC in college which can be considered the toughest conference in college football. The collegiate level is much different than the pros, but with the way Fournette plays the game he should have no problem adjusting.

Going up against the Texans who have players like J.J. Watt and Jadeveon Clowney is never easy. Fournette is a big back and he’s going up against big defenders. The Jaguars team will find out if he can handle the tempo, pressure and the atmosphere as well against a solid defense.

I believe Fournette will have a good first start in his first official game but the Texans defense always makes opposing offenses’ work extra harder for yards and points. Once Fournette can get past the defensive line, he should be able to make plays against the secondary and be able to gain extra yardage or put points up on the board.
