About the Jaguars

  • The Jags need a victory to clinch the AFC South championship for the second season in a row. If they lose, they can still make it as a wildcard team but will be dependent on the outcomes of other AFC games.

  • The Jags can also get 10 victories or more two seasons in a row for the first time since 2004-2005. The Jaguars are on a 12-game losing streak when the final regular-season game is on the road. The last time they closed on the road and won was 2004 with a 13-6 victory at Oakland.

  • Outside linebacker Josh Allen can break a tie with Pro Football Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor if he gets 2.5 or more sacks. They are the only players since the NFL began counting sacks on an official basis to have 2.5 or more in four regular-season games. Taylor did it in 1982.

About the Titans

  • The Titans have lost three games in a row and four of their last five. In the last two seasons, Tennessee is 1-11 after Thanksgiving.

  • Ryan Tannehill will start at quarterback with a foot injury to rookie Will Levis. In his last two games, after not playing since Oct. 15, Tannehill has completed 73.9 percent of his passes for 320 yards, a 92.66 passer rating and no interceptions, but he also has not recorded a touchdown pass and has been sacked 11 times.

  • In their 34-14 loss to the Jaguars at EverBank Stadium on Nov. 19, the Titans ran only 38 offensive plays. That remains the lowest number by any team in the league this season. Only one drive went longer than five plays.

Key Matchup

Jaguars LB Foye Oluokun vs. Titans RB Derrick Henry

It is being widely assumed that this will be the last game in a Titans uniform for Henry, a Yulee High graduate. The issue is whether he'll go out with a bang against the team from his First Coast origin and how well the Jaguars, especially Oluokun, keep him in check.

Henry has only three 100-yard games this season and since his last (four games ago), he has gained only 173 yards on 64 carries, a 2.7-yard average.

Derrick Henry of Yulee has posted two 200-yard games and four games with 100 yards or more against the Jacksonville Jaguars in home games at Nashville's Nissan Stadium.

However, Henry's track record is that he destroys the Jaguars at home. He has gained 844 yards (6.8 per carry) and scored nine touchdowns in seven home games vs. the Jags, including two 200-yard games.

Oluokun is third in the NFL in tackles with 166 (four behind leader Zaire Franklin of Indianapolis) and has the most over the last two seasons.

Oluokun has faced Henry three times, all with the Jaguars. In those games, Henry has averaged 89 yards and has scored only one touchdown.
