Jackson area high school basketball Week 8 top performers

It's Week 8 of the TSSAA basketball season, and the area's top basketball players are showing out once again.

Here are the top performers for the week. This story will be updated as the week continues.

Saturday

Girls

SOUTH GIBSON 54, TCA 30: Mary Grace Cleek led the Lions with 12 points and seven rebounds.

McNAIRY 70, DYER CO. 67: Sanayah Starks led Dyer County with 31 points.

Boys

TCA 72, NATCHEZ TRACE 26: Campbell Vailes scored 23 points and dished out five assists to lead the Lions. Lake Helton also had 14 points to go with a team-high seven rebounds.

BRADFORD 71, GREENFIELD 63: Cruze Porter led the Yellow Jackets with 27 points. Anthony Green added 13.

Friday

Girls

GIBSON COUNTY 63, WESTVIEW 39: Micah Hart led Pioneers 28 points with four 3-pointers. Sania Reaves scored 15 points, as well. Kaylee Alexander led the Chargers with 11 points.

USJ 68, FAYETTE ACADEMY 20: Haylen Ayers and Ava Barham each scored 17 points to lead the Bruins.

TCA 61, TIPTON-ROSEMARK 14: Anna Sanders led the Lions to a victory with 19 points and six rebounds. Tori Robinson added 15 points and five rebounds.

MCNAIRY 45, HARDIN CO. 43: Lena Taylor led the Bobcats with 18 points while Neerajah Wade added 10. Hannah Miller led the Tigers with 18 points.

Boys

JACKSON CHRISTIAN 78, SACRED HEART 73: Ayden Shaw dropped 30 points to lead the Eagles to the victory. Birman Jenkins added 17 while Kelsey Rose (16) and Ridgley Ragan (15) were also in double figures. A.J. Morman scored 39 points in the loss. Keelon Johnson added 18 points.

TCA 69, TIPTON-ROSEMARK 35: Brayden Waller led the Lions with 16 points and seven rebounds while Gabe Lee scored 15 points and three rebounds and Zack Niven scored 14 points with three rebounds. Lekhy Thompkins had 10 rebounds to go with eight points.

NORTH SIDE 49, LEXINGTON 40: A.J. Currie led North Side with 17 points while Lincoln Woods added 13. Jakob Davis led Tigers with 18 points while Donovan Belew had 11.

USJ 68, FAYETTE ACADEMY 32: Mills Terry led the Bruins with 32 points, including five 3-pointers. Brady Smith added 10 points.

DYER COUNTY 78, SOUTH GIBSON 76 (3 OT): Pierre Isom led Dyer County with 28 points. Marcus Martin scored 19 while Jamin Gauldin (12) and Justice Mosley (11) were in double figures. Gavin Crawford led the Hornets with 16 points. Sam Tritt (15), Cade Allen (15), Noah Clouse (11) and Koen Thomas (10) were all in double figures.

RIVERSIDE 56, MADISON 51: James Harralston led the Panthers with 14 points while Jack Cupples (13) and Jagger Cupples (10) each were in double digits. Harry Rowland led the Mustangs with 18 points.

GREENFIELD 48, DRESDEN 42: Easton Sullivan led the Yellowjackets with 21 points while Anthony Green added 10.

Thursday

Girls

SCOTTS HILL 82, CLARKSBURG 27: Emma Wright hit four 3-pointers en route to a 21-point performance for the Lions. Julie Hampton had 17 points while Lacie Dunavant had 16. Libby Autry and Sam Seagraves each had eight points for the Rockets.

Wednesday

Boys

JCM 42, MADISON 27: Landon Braswell led the Cougars with 11 points. Chancellor Delk led the Mustangs with 12 points.

Girls

JCM 63, MADISON 29: Nyjha Webster scored 18 points to lead the Cougars to the victory. Audrew Bowman and Gracie Chouinard led the Mustangs with six points each.

Tuesday

Boys

SOUTH GIBSON 73, CROCKETT COUNTY 44: Cade Allen led the Hornets with 17 points. Trevor Lemings added 16 while Koen Thomas had 15. Kevin Pledge led the Cavaliers with eight points.

CHESTER COUNTY 67, NORTH SIDE 57: Chad Barham led the Tigers with 23 points. Amari Massengill added 15 points. Brendan Rogers led North Side with 16 points in the loss.

TCA 57, JACKSON CHRISTIAN 43: Kaleb Williams scored 13 points, including three 3-pointers in the fourth quarter, to lead the Lions. Birman Jenkins scored 14 points to lead the Eagles.

RIVERSIDE 59, ADAMSVILLE 50: James Harralson scored 16 points to lead the Panther offense. Timothy Harralton (11), Jagger Cupples (10) and Camden Eason (10) were all in double figures for the Panthers. Brilee Ritter led the Cardinals with 18 points.

USJ 62, TIPTON-ROSEMARK 39: Mills Terry scored 17 points to lead the Bruins. Brady Smith added a 14-point showing in the win.

Girls

USJ 76, TIPTON-ROSEMARK 14: The Bruins had four scorers in double figures to earn the dominant win. Haylen Ayers led the offense with 19 points.

GIBSON COUNTY 84, RIPLEY 21: A'Kira Riding scored 16 points to lead the Pioneers to a dominant win. Emily Skinner (15), Georgia Lannom (10) and Micah Hart (10) were also in double figures for the Pioneers. Kennedy Owen led the Tigers with nine points.

McNAIRY 45, LEXINGTON 41: Lena Taylor and Nerrajah Wade paced the Bobcats with 19 points apeice. Holly Bartholomew led the Tigers with 23 points.

SCOTTS HILL 83, LIBERTY 45: Julie Hampton scored 39 points to lead the Lions. Lacie Dunavant and Emma Wright each had 14 points, as well. Araiya Stewart scored 20 points for the Crusaders.

JACKSON CHRISTIAN 48, TCA 32: Gibson Boykin scored 16 points to lead the Eagles to the home victory. Mary Grace Cleek scored 13 points to lead the Lions.

FRANK HUGHES 53, RIVERSIDE 46: James Harralston led the Panthers with 15 points.
