Jack Campbell tops Pro Football Focus’ LB prospect rankings ahead of 2023 NFL draft
Jack Campbell has an argument as the fastest riser as we rapidly approach the NFL draft. The leader of the Iowa Hawkeyes’ defense last year brings all of the intangibles and everything you could ask for.
Recently, Campbell has been tabbed as the only linebacker with first-round talent and could see him taken off the board earlier than some may anticipate. The Dick Butkus Award winner and unanimous consensus All-American put out the tape during his time at Iowa that proves he could provide a team with an anchor in the middle for many years to come.
Most recently, Campbell has found himself at the top of the list for Pro Football Focus’ top five linebacker prospects in the 2023 NFL draft. PFF draft analyst Trevor Sikkema stamped the Iowa legend as his top linebacker prospect with only a few days left until the 2023 NFL draft gets underway.

Alongside the Hawkeyes’ linebacker is a handful of other extremely talented prospects. Two other mentioned alongside Campbell that some view as the top prospect are Drew Sanders of the Arkansas Razorbacks and Trenton Simpson of the Clemson Tigers. The top five linebacker prospects are rounded out by Washington State’s Daiyan Henley and Tulane’s Dorian Williams.
The 2023 NFL draft begins with the first round on Thursday, April 27 in Kansas City, Mo., at 7 p.m. CT at Union Station.
