J.J. Redick scores 20, Clippers drub Knicks

The Los Angeles Clippers picked up the victory due in large part to their efficiency handling the basketball, accumulating 28 assists and turning it over only 10 times, in a blowout 99-78 win over the New York Knicks. This is the second win in as many games for Los Angeles (22-11) after beating Utah on Monday.

J.J. Redick put up 20 points on 7-13 shooting, including 4-8 on 3-point attempts. Other key players for Los Angeles included DeAndre Jordan with 14 points and 12 rebounds, Blake Griffin with 13 points and 11 assists, and Spencer Hawes with 10 points and seven rebounds. Despite the loss, Carmelo Anthony scored 19 points for New York on 7-18 shooting from the field and 4-6 from the free throw line.

The Clippers posted a sterling assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.80. This year, they are 5-2 when they exceed 2.50 in this metric. Conversely, the Knicks are winless (0-2) when allowing their opponents to achieve such a stellar ratio.

New York (5-29) has now dropped their last nine straight games.

Coming up, the Clippers square off with the Philadelphia 76ers, who are 4-26 on the season. The Knicks match up with the Detroit Pistons, currently sitting at 8-23 this year. The Knicks are 0-1 versus Detroit this season.
