Iowa hits the road for the second to last time this regular season looking to wash away the bad taste from a start-to-finish 80-60 dud at Northwestern.
It’s time to turn the page tonight against a Wisconsin (15-11, 7-9 Big Ten) team that Iowa is looking to even the score against. Playing minus star forward Kris Murray, the Badgers bested Iowa in overtime 78-75 in Iowa City back on Dec. 11, 2022.
Iowa (17-10, 9-6 Big Ten) erased an eight-point deficit with just 2:13 remaining in regulation after Patrick McCaffery’s 3-pointer sent the game to overtime. The Hawkeyes couldn’t get three separate three-point leads in overtime to stand up as Wisconsin walked out of Carver-Hawkeye Arena with a win in Iowa’s Big Ten opener.
Several short months later and the rematch finds the pair both looking to capture this contest for important reasons. Wisconsin is squarely on the bubble per ESPN. Meanwhile, Iowa would like to solidify its own at-large case and lock into a double-bye for the conference tournament.

Wisconsin holds a 54-30 advantage in games played in Madison. The Badgers have won 14 of the last 17 games contested in Madison. Iowa is 5-14 at the Kohl Center, winning there in 1998 (79-76), 2000 (61-55), 2011 (72-65), 2017 (59-57), and 2021 (77-62).
