Introducing the Des Moines Register's 2023-24 preseason All-Iowa girls basketball teams

The Iowa high school girls basketball season starts this week, and the Des Moines Register is back with another preseason list.

This time it’s the All-Iowa teams, made up of five first-team selections, five-second team selections and 10 honorable mentions. The athletes chosen for this list are picked based on past production but also their projected success in the 2023-24 season.

There are some expected names on this list – like Johnston phenom Jenica Lewis and Davenport North star Divine Bourrage – as well as some surprises.

But that’s the beauty of preseason lists: Anything can happen over the next few months.

Players are listed in alphabetical order.

Callie Levin, sr., Solon

Levin just keeps finding ways to get better. The Iowa women’s basketball commit pushed Solon to the state semifinal with 18.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 3.7 steals per game.
