The Chiefs hosted a ton of receivers on pre-draft visits, but Skyy Moore wasn’t one of the reported visits. They traded back and immediately a run on receiver talent happened, but they likely felt comfortable that their guy was going to be there in this scenario.
Moore just so happens to be a draft crush of mine, just because he’s so good at getting off the line of scrimmage. He creates separation with his releases and route-running, with a penchant for finding soft spots in coverage. h
An extremely efficient catcher of the football, Moore had just three drops on 125 targets during the 2021 season. He also accounted for 26 broken tackles after the catch last year, tied for the most among FBS wide receivers.
He has the flexibility to play both inside and outside for Kansas City, which is something he’ll need to play in Andy Reid’s system. Historically, it’s a system that has been tough for receivers to pick up in Year 1, so we’ll see if he can maximize what opportunity he does get as rookie.
