Injury Update: Draymond Green (ankle) cleared to begin light on-court workouts

Although there are already three preseason games in the book, one key member of the Golden State Warriors has yet to hit the court. Before the start of training camp, Draymond Green suffered a sprained left ankle in an offseason workout.

After missing the start of training camp, the Warriors provided a positive update on Green’s injury. The four-time All-Star has been cleared to begin light on-court workouts. Green will be re-evaluated again on Sunday. With Green’s re-evaluation coming on Sunday, the forward will likely miss Golden State’s remaining two preseason games.

With Green missing time, Steve Kerr has had time to experiment with Chris Paul in the starting lineup alongside Steph Curry and Klay Thompson in the backcourt.

After two more preseason games, the Warriors will open the 2023-24 regular season next week against Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal, Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns at San Francisco’s Chase Center.
