Initial injury report ahead of Texas A&M’s season finale vs. LSU
For all of you who have been waiting for this miserable season to end, congratulations, you’ve made it! Texas A&M (4-7, 1-6 SEC) will face the 6th-ranked LSU Tigers in the Aggie’s season finale, due to not reaching bowl eligibility for the first time in 14 seasons. All kidding aside, the program has dealt with more adversity this season than in the last couple of decades. As a media member, I know that changes will potentially be coming as soon as the game ends vs. the Tigers on Saturday night.
On Monday, head coach Jimbo Fisher spoke to the media in what will be his final pre-game press conference of the season, previewing the matchup with LSU, while answering questions in regard to the injury report, and the current player suspensions.
When asked about the health status of star running back Devon Achane, who has missed the last two games versus Auburn and UMass due to injury, and freshman wide receiver Evan Stewart who was a late scratch against UMass last Saturday, Fisher stated that he is “very optimistic” that both will return this weekend against LSU.
Lastly, when asked about the suspensions of PJ Williams and Denver Harris, Fisher remained steadfast, stating that they are suspended “indefinitely” and it will stay that way.
To note, freshman offensive lineman PJ Williams was recently arrested and charged with possession of Marijuana on Saturday, Nov. 19th.
