Indianapolis Colts release veteran RB Kenyan Drake

Former Alabama running back Kenyan Drake is back in the free-agent market ahead of the 2023 season after being released by the Indianapolis Colts.

Drake was a third-round selection by the Miami Dolphins in the 2016 NFL draft. He spent nearly four seasons in Miami but was traded to Arizona in the middle of the 2019 season. He’s also had short stints with the Baltimore Ravens and Las Vegas Raiders.

In 2022 for the Ravens, Drake appeared in 11 games and had 93 carries for 442 yards and three rushing touchdowns. He also had a receiving touchdown.

The running back market is at what feels like an all-time low, with many high-profile players at the position speaking out on the pay and the respect they feel is due.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow Drake and other former Alabama players in the NFL as the 2023 season gets under way.
