Fan poll: Columbia Academy's Jackson Lee voted Columbia area boys athlete of the week

The votes are in and Columbia Academy's Jackson Lee was voted by fans as The Daily Herald's Columbia area boys athlete of the week for May 13-17.

Lee finished with 1,416 votes, 63.33% of the total responses. Lee pitched a complete game, striking out 13 batters while allowing two hits and no runs in a 2-0 win over Silverdale to advance to the DII-A state tournament. Columbia Academy would go on to win the DII-A state title, with Lee striking out nine batters in a complete game against Goodpasture.

Loretto's Carter Daniel finished second in voting with 789 votes, 35.29% of the total. Daniel struck out 10 batters in five innings pitched, allowing one hit and no runs in a 10-0 sectional series win. Loretto would go on to win the Class 2A state title, with Daniel pitching a complete game against White House Heritage, striking out nine batters.
