Holiday hoops: Where District 10 basketball teams will be at during this week's tournaments
With the holiday break comes the holiday basketball tournaments involving District 10 teams around northwestern Pennsylvania. There aren't many tournaments in Erie County this year, but several have big-time matchups for local fans.
It all starts with the Fairview girls basketball showcase on Thursday and Friday. Seven Erie County teams along with Portersville Christian will play a total of four games each day.

There are several boys basketball tournaments in Erie County as Corry and Iroquois host two-day tournaments on Thursday and Friday and Harbor Creek hosts a four-team tournament on Friday and Saturday.
In addition to the Fairview classic, the only girls tournament in Erie County is the Iroquois tournament on Thursday and Friday.
There are several tournaments in Mercer County and some Erie County teams are heading south for tournaments. The Cathedral Prep girls and Mercyhurst Prep boys are in Florida for the third KSA tournament of the month, while the Northwestern girls travel to Tennessee and the Mercyhurst Prep girls head to Baltimore.
