Highlights from Arch Manning and Texas’ 2023 class over the weekend
Texas kicked off its 2022 season over the weekend with a dominant 52-10 victory over UL Monroe.
While the current Longhorns took care of business, the future of the program enjoyed a big weekend at the high school level. Texas’ 2023 class continues to look the part.
Five-star quarterback Arch Manning is proving his No. 1 ranking right so far this season. Manning tossed three touchdowns in Isidore Newman’s big win over Hahnville. Fellow Texas commit Will Randle added a pick-six in the game.
Running back Cedric Baxter had a monster 274 yards, two touchdown performance. The four-star has been a force to start the season for Edgewater High School.
DeSoto’s Johntay Cook hauled in another touchdown early in their ballgame. Cook’s route running and speed make the five-star a great fit for Texas’ offense.
The Longhorns’ 2023 class currently sits No. 2 in the nation behind the Alabama Crimson Tide in the 247Sports composite rankings.
Here are some of the best highlights from Texas commits this weekend.
