High school volleyball district finals: Ponte Vedra, Creekside, Middleburg, BK win

DISTRICT 1-7A

For the fourth consecutive year, and the third straight while on the Florida High School Athletic Association playoff bubble, Creekside won a district title and sealed a postseason berth with a 25-18, 25-19, 25-22 sweep of Mandarin.

Junior Bridget Spees got a double-double (10 kills, 10 digs), Lindsay Hopkins delivered 31 assists and Lauren Rewey added 14 digs for the Knights (11-12), who advance to the regional quarterfinals Wednesday at top seed Winter Park. Gateway Conference champion Mandarin (17-6) received an at-large regional berth based on the FHSAA state ranking formula, receiving a road assignment at Timber Creek.

DISTRICT 3-6A

After a regular season of ups and downs, Ponte Vedra finished its district tournament in a familiar spot: on top.

The Sharks outlasted visiting Fleming Island (19-7) in four sets, 25-21, 25-19, 23-25, 28-26 clinching a regional playoff berth. The Sharks (13-13), three-time FHSAA champions, will open the regionals Wednesday at home against Tallahassee Leon.

For Fleming Island, Savannah Jackson (11 kills) and Emily Topp (10 kills) paced the attack, while Rauly Eason made 11 blocks and Leeann Maysonet and Hazel Williams both tallied double-doubles.

DISTRICT 3-5A

A dominant serving night with 20 aces, nine by sophomore Erica Duffy, helped Beachside wrap up the first girls district championship in the second-year school's history with a 25-11, 25-15, 25-13 sweep of Stanton (11-9).

Adriana Jeanpierre led with 10 kills, while Mollie VanDeusen had 16 assists and Isabella Tavares made 15 digs as the Barracudas (21-5) advance to a Wednesday regional quarterfinal at home against Pensacola Washington.

DISTRICT 4-5A

Connor Rahn hit 17 kills to power Middleburg to a district championship for the second year running, with a 25-16, 25-22, 25-17 sweep against county rival Ridgeview (18-7).

Olivia Callipo got 35 assists and Brooke Forkum had a double-double (11 kills, 15 digs) for the Broncos (22-5), who receive a high seed for next week's FHSAA regionals to meet Panama City Beach Arnold. The Panthers got the second seed and meet Columbia.

DISTRICT 2-4A

Sophomore Whitlee Harvey slammed 21 kills with 21 digs and Reese Harvey added 11 kills as Wakulla (15-10) fought back from two sets down to defeat Baker County (16-5) in a 15-25, 15-25, 25-17, 25-18, 15-9 district final.

Junior setter Emily Cordell came through with 40 assists and 20 digs in the War Eagles'win. Baker County earned an at-large berth and travels to North Bay Haven.

DISTRICT 3-4A

With 11 kills for Chloe Kaszubinski, Yulee (11-6) swept to a 25-16, 25-23, 25-19 victory over Fernandina Beach (8-10) in an all-Nassau County showdown.

Leah Kasper provided 23 assists and had 12 digs for the Hornets, who advance to a Tuesday playoff at No. 1 seed Bishop Kenny.

DISTRICT 4-4A

Senior Claudia Stockard collected 11 kills and 14 digs and the Bishop Kenny district championship streak is still going strong after a 25-14, 25-8, 25-10 sweep of rival Bolles.

Cat Haen (17 digs) and Cami Labyak (five aces) were also top contributors for Bishop Kenny (20-7), set to play host to a regional playoff Tuesday against Yulee. Bolles (14-13) also qualified for regionals to meet Wolfson.

DISTRICT 2-3A

Regional contender Trinity Christian added a district championship to its superb 2023 season, winning 25-18, 25-13, 25-17 against Episcopal (10-18).

The Conquerors (22-3), coming off their best-ever season in 2022, landed the top seed for next week's Class 3A regionals against P.K. Yonge. For Episcopal, Chloe Selmer led with six kills and Ella Frantz had eight assists. The Eagles travel in regionals to Florida High.

DISTRICT 2-2A

Senior Nadia Mortensen blasted 19 kills and Christ's Church raised its district trophy with a 25-22, 25-19, 25-20 win over St. Johns Country Day (14-7).

Sydney Kambach provided 35 assists and Julia Howard recorded 22 digs for the Eagles (17-7), who receive a home match for Tuesday's opening playoff round against St. Francis. St. Johns Country Day also qualified, meeting Gainesville Countryside Christian on Tuesday.

DISTRICT 3-2A

Elina Adkihari led with 15 kills and Madison Maple added 12 as Harvest Community continued its strong late-season run with a 25-16, 25-12, 25-9 sweep against Covenant (17-5).

Peyton Cooper supplied 36 assists and Pria Adhikari got 23 digs for Harvest (20-6). The two will meet again in Tuesday's regional opening round.

DISTRICT 5-1A

Aucilla Christian swept 25-11, 25-11, 25-15 past Hilliard (7-6) for the district title.

RoseLyn McLeod led the Warriors (13-8) with 12 kills, while Kaitee Roberts got 31 assistsand Hayden Ashworth made 18 digs.

DISTRICT 6-1A

Kennedy Walker led with 15 kills and 18 digs and Andi Sabourin made 30 assists as Branford (22-4) powered to a 25-15, 25-19, 25-18 sweep of Union County (11-12) in the District 6-1A final. Despite the loss, the Fightin' Tigers advanced to regionals to meet Bell.
