High school track regionals coming up: Here's what to know

Penn defeated Elkhart by three points for this year’s Northern Indiana Conference boys track championship.

It’s likely to be those two again when the IHSAA boys track regional plays out Thursday at Warsaw.

Throw in Northern Lakes Conference champion Warsaw and it should be a tight, three-way battle for the team championship. Elkhart and Penn are evenly matched on the track, while Warsaw expects to dominate in the field events.

At Valparaiso, meanwhile, it’s looking like a Duneland Conference free-for-all with Chesterton, Crown Point, Lake Central and La Porte all in the hunt for a team title.
