High school sports scores for the week of Sept. 11-16 on the Treasure Coast

Thursday's scores

Okeechobee’s boys and Jensen Beach girls won team titles at the Wayne Cross Invitational on Thursday at Lawnwood Stadium.

Jensen Beach junior J’Hani Styles won the boys race, running 18:25 to finish 45 seconds ahead of the pack to help the Falcons take the runner-up spot as a team.

Treasure Coast junior Kaitlynn Moore won her second race of the season, clocking in a time of 20:25 defeating the rest of the field by over two and a half minutes.

The Brahman boys were led by Landon Arrants’ runner-up finish and a fifth place finish from Wyatt Phillips.

The Falcon girls had Chloe Haley take second place, Genevieve Schmidt place fourth, Ava Vancour was seventh and Bella Tuthill was eighth for Jensen Beach.

Jensen Beach d. South Fork 25-17, 18-25, 25-8, 18-25, 15-5: Jenna Simmons had 17 kills and eight digs in the five-set win for the Falcons (13-2). Samaya Hennessy added nine kills, Sarah Stouky and Lilli Redifer each had nine digs, Catherine Hamilton added six digs and Raegan Richardson finished the match with 28 assists, six aces and five kills for Jensen Beach.

Ryan Connelly had seven kills, Aubrey Scammell added six blocks, four kills and three aces, Hailee Curl collected 10 digs and Brynn Burgk totaled 21 assists and nine digs for the Bulldogs (4-9).

Martin County d. John Carroll Catholic 25-13, 18-25, 25-18, 25-7: Grace Lee had 21 kills, 10 digs and four aces to lead the Tigers (6-6) in the win. Emelia Glover added 13 kills and five digs, Caragh Francello had six digs and five aces and Katelyn Bobo finished the match with 34 assists for Martin County.

Somerset College Prep 4, Lincoln Park Academy 2: Emma Bordetsky bowled a 185 game and a 539 three-game series in the win for the Spartans. Jocelyn Young rolled a 159 game and a 486 series for the Greyhounds.

South Fork d. Vero Beach 25-23, 24-26, 20-25, 25-18, 17-15: Ava Bochenek had 15 kills, including the match-winner to help the Bulldogs (4-8) rally and earn the victory in five sets.

South Fork had to force a fifth set and trailing 14-10 in the deciding set fought off three match points and eventually grabbed the win on a final swing from Bochenek.

Aubrey Scammell had nine kills and seven blocks, Cloe Follwell also had nine kills and added four blocks, Ryan Connelly had six kills and five blocks, Hailee Curl collected 26 digs and Brynn Burgk totaled 18 digs and 39 assists for South Fork.

Ella Gravlee had 24 kills, Aracelys Sanchez added 20 kills and Ellie Smith chipped in seven kills for Vero (5-1).

St. Edward's d. Pine School 27-25, 25-27, 25-21, 22-25, 15-13: Meagan Baker, CJ Fykes and Makena Rodriguez all had 10 kills in the win for the Pirates (4-5). Natalee Rogers collected 29 digs, Rodriguez had 18 digs, Fykes had 11 digs and four aces, Khileo Perez added seven kills, Sommer Soderman added four aces and 14 digs and Elliotte Kahler finished the match with 35 assists and 13 digs for St. Edward's.
