High school soccer roundup: Christian Heritage defeats LaFayette 5-1

Christian Heritage (2-4) knocked off LaFayette (2-5) 5-1 Friday night.
Carson Russell scored two goals for the Lions, while Evan Coulter, Jose Ojeda and Donaven Shirley each put in one. Luis Salinas had two assists, and Ojeda and Coulter each had one.
Christian Heritage hosts Mt. Zion on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Dalton Academy 3, Gilmer 2
Dalton Academy (8-1) got past Gilmer (3-6) 3-2 on Friday.
Joe Gonzalez, Geovanny Nolasco and Jesus Arellano all scored a goal for Dalton Academy. Gonzalez and Dani Perez had assists.
The Pumas won their seventh game in a row.
Dalton Academy plays at Dade County on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Murray County 8, Rockmart 1
Murray County was searching for its first win, and, when it finally came, it was a dominating victory.
The Indians (1-6-1) defeated Rockmart (2-5) 8-1 on Thursday, picking up their first victory of the year.
The next Murray game is again against Rockmart on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Gordon Central 1, North Murray 0
North Murray (3-4) fell 1-0 to Gordon Central (4-4) Friday night.
Josue Rodriguez made five saves in goal for North Murray, but the Mountaineers couldn't coax in a goal of their own.
North Murray plays at Fannin County on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
Girls Gordon Central 3, North Murray 1
North Murray (3-3) fell 3-1 to Gordon Central (1-6) Friday night.
The Lady Mountaineers fall to 3-3 in Region 7-2A play. They'll travel to play Fannin County Tuesday at 5 p.m.
