HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP: Quincy girls lacrosse wins city battle vs. North Quincy

Quincy High junior Grace Connor had a hat trick and an assist and registered her 100th career point Friday to help lead the girls lacrosse team to a 14-4 win over city rival North Quincy.

Senior captains Delia Nichol (4 goals, 2 assists) and Caroline Campbell (4 assists) also starred for the Presidents (13-7) in the Senior Night game for both teams.

Juniors Grace McGillicuddy (3 goals) and goalie Tayah Quinn (9 saves) contributed to the victory that wrapped up the regular season.

North Quincy (8-12) was led by junior Autumn O’Campos (3 goals), sophomore Iris Gjoka (goal, assist) and senior captain Cate Murray (15 saves).

GIRLS LACROSSE

Cardinal Spellman 16, Sharon 4: Elle Murphy (6 goals), Erin O’Donnell (5 goals, 4 assists), and Marina Duffy (4 goals, 2 assists) starred as the visiting Cardinals (10-8) won their fourth straight. Lydia Meressi, Reilly Melody, Emma Duffy, Grace Meikle and Rylie Dundon were defensive standouts.

Bishop Feehan 9, Scituate 8: The Sailors (11-7) dropped their regular-season finale, snapping a six-game winning streak.

BOYS LACROSSE

Abington 20, North Quincy 6: Hunter Grafton scored 8 goals, hitting 100 for the season, and added 3 assists, including No. 100 of his career, to lead the Green Wave (14-4) to a road win in the regular-season finale. Jonathan Halpin (4 goals, 5 assists) and Patrick Prewitt (4 goals, 4 assists) also starred, along with Matthew Grafton (2 goals, assist), Jake Spellane (2 goals, assist), Evan St. Martin (goal, 2 assists) and Zach Buccigross (3 assists).

Cardinal Spellman 15, St. Mary's (Lynn) 3: Matt O'Donnell tallied 9 goals and chipped in an assist for the Cardinals. Jack Duffy had 7 points (3 goals, 4 assists) and D'Anthony Amado chipped in 2 goals and 3 assists.

Scituate 17, Bishop Feehan 6: Will Cahill (6 goals, 4 assists), Will Robinson (5 goals, 2 assists) and James Sullivan (4 goals, 3 assists) led the Sailors (12-8) to a road win in the regular-season finale.

Bridgewater-Raynham 15, Seekonk 3: Eight different players scored as the Trojans (12-6) won their regular-season finale on the road. Jayson Kelleher (5 goals, 4 assists), Zach Sinclair (3 goals, assist) and Jack Lambert (2 goals) led the way.

BASEBALL

Archbishop Williams 7, Middleboro 5: Stephen Ondrick doubled and drove in a pair of runs as the Bishops (11-9) beat the Sachems (11-9) on the road in the regular-season finale for both teams. Leo Lyons got the win on the mound, allowing 3 earned runs over 5 innings, and Bryan Cahill notched the 2-inning save and was 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored. Luke Driscoll (1-for-2, double, 2 walks, RBI) and Josh Turcotte (2 hits, RBI) also contributed.

Hingham 13, Weymouth 11: The Harbormen (10-10) clinched a Division 1 playoff berth by outlasting the Wildcats (17-5) at home in the regular-season finale for both teams. Hingham trailed 10-6 in the fifth inning but rallied thanks to Luke Thrun (2 doubles, 3 RBIs), Aiden Devlin (RBI triple) and Tadd Cavanaugh (2 hits, 3 runs). Jack Larkin got the victory on the mound.

Central Catholic 1, BC High 0: The Eagles (12-8) concluded the regular season with a road loss.

Cohasset 7, Scituate 6: The Skippers (9-10) kept their Division 4 playoff hopes alive as Luc Nivaud threw out the potential tying run at the plate. Luc Lefevre worked 6⅔ innings for the win, and Kevin Sweet recorded the save.

Brockton 13, Quincy 1: The Boxers (7-13) won their season finale on the road.

SOFTBALL

Archbishop Williams 3, Braintree 1: Winning pitcher Jill Ondrick struck out 11 and and was 3-for-3 with the winning RBI as the visiting Bishops (16-5) won the town battle against the Wamps (11-9). Third baseman Shelby Parr was a defensive standout. Archies has won six straight heading into Monday's regular-season finale.

Abington 2, Notre Dame Academy 0: Shannon Varvitsiotis pitched a complete-game shutout as the Green Wave (13-7) won the regular-season finale at home. Kasie Bailey had an RBI, and Maddie Perry (1-for-3) and Vivian Bonner each scored. NDA is 11-7.

Hingham 10, Norwell 1: The Harborwomen (18-2) won a non-league game at home to stretch their winning streak to 8 games.

Pembroke 7, East Bridgewater 2: The Titans (12-8) beat the Vikings (14-4) on the road.

Sharon 9, North Quincy 4: The Raiders (7-13) lost their season finale on the road.

Brockton 12, Quincy 0: The Boxers (7-11) won at home.

Wareham 13, Carver 3: The Crusaders (9-11) lost at home.

North Attleboro 4, Milton 0: The Wildcats (7-9) lost on the road.

Weymouth 10, Scituate 9: The Wildcats beat the Sailors at home in the season finale for both teams.
