ROUNDUP: From soccer to golf, how did Cape Cod's high school sports teams fare Monday?

The Monomoy Regional High School (1-7) girls varsity team won their first varsity match in program history with a 3-2 win over Rising Tide Charter Public School on Monday.

Girls Volleyball

Barnstable 3, Nauset 0: Barnstable head coach Tom Turco picked up his 750th career win after the Red Hawks (8-2) swept (25-12, 25-14, 25-10) the Warriors (2-8). On offense, Molly Fredo led with nine kills, while Ayla Camelo and Molly Gleason each had four kills. Charlotte Sullivan added four kills and four aces, while Sadie Wellbeloved had 16 assists and Nicky Murphy chipped in eight assists.

Dennis-Yarmouth 3, Falmouth 0: The Dolphins (7-4) are starting to gel as they win their fifth straight match with a sweep (28-26, 25-17, 25-19) over the Clippers (5-5). Mariah Eaton led the offense with 14 kills and had two blocks, while Aeva DaBreo and Ava Kvietok each had five kills. Ellen Swanson finished with three aces and 19 digs, while Irelynn Shenk contributed 13 digs and two aces.

Christina Femino had 13 assists, five digs, and one block, Anna Seyler finished with six kills, two blocks, and one ace, while Delia Roulston added five aces and 10 digs for the Clippers (5-5).

Blue Hills 3, Upper Cape 2: The Rams (0-10) won their first sets of the season, but still came up short in the match. Emma King, Ella Kerrigan and Grace Delorie led with offense with their service points. Nadia Prunier and Ava Currier played well on defense, while Danielle Lauar and Miranda Solomon played well on offense.

Bourne 3, Old Rochester 2: The Canalwomen (10-0) won their tenth straight and remain unbeaten with a five set win (25-16, 25-23, 23-25, 23-25, 15-6). Sofia Hulunen finished with 12 kills, 12 assists, and 14 digs, while Elena Timo added four kills, 17 digs and 15 assists.

Carley May hit .400 on the night with three timely kills, while Mayla Muldoon had seven aces. Nola Timo chipped in nine kills and 25 digs, and Lily Russell contributed 25 digs. Muldoons's serving and Nola Timo's kills were key in the fifth set win, and Bourne had 17 team service aces.

Sturgis West 3, Sturgis East 0: The Navigators (5-2) swept the Storm (3-4) in straight sets (25-18, 25-23, 27-25). Annika Gustafson served for 13 points with two aces, and had two kills, while Brodie Gerlach served for nine points (six aces), and added 15 kills for Sturgis West. Chase Liimatainen served for 11 points, with four aces, and played well on defense.

Brooke Bouchard finished with five kills and good serving, and Celia Hayward played well in the back with 10 digs for Sturgis East.

Girls Soccer

Mashpee 3, Monomoy 2: Hailey Garcia led the Falcons (3-5) offense with two goals, while Izzy Almeida added another. Goalkeeper Norah Paolini had seven saves in net for Mashpee.

Ciarra Terry and Karah Deveau scored the goals for the Sharks (7-3-1), while Mackenzie Bowers had an assist. Abrielle Long, Lucy Bates and Gigi Paravisini played well on defense, and Maya Flaherty made eight saves.

Old Rochester 5, Bourne 0: The Canalwomen (5-4-1) came up short up at home.

Brockton 12, Barnstable 0: The Red Hawks (0-6) lost on the road.

Boys Soccer

Old Rochester 3, Bourne 0: Nathan Reynolds had seven saves to lead the Canalmen (1-6-2) defense in the loss. Dom Quelle also played well on defense, while Leo Andrade played well at midfield.

St. John Paul II 2, Falmouth Academy 0: The Lions (3-3-2) first goal was scored by Jose Aguliar, with an assist by Sebastian Ramos. Nico Sullivan extended the Lions lead with a penalty kick. Cody Boghdan played well on defense at center back, and helped hold the Mariners to no shots on goal. Jaiden Elber had 14 saves, eight of which came in the second half, for the Mariners (3-3-1).

Monomoy 3, Mashpee 2: In a close matchup, Ryan Laramee scored his 13th goal of the season for the winner over the Falcons (3-4).

Field Hockey

Falmouth 3, Nantucket 0: Avery Johnsen scored twice for the Clippers (5-2-1) in a shutout win over the Whalers (4-3-2). Makeena Metcalf finished with two assists, while Aspen Devlin scored the third goal.

Sandwich 7, Mashpee 0: Khloe Schultz and Julia Giampietro each scored twice to lead the Blue Knights (10-0) offense in the shutout win over the Falcons (2-7). Alivia Barnes finished with one goal and one assist, while Abbie Cotter and Kyla Darmon each added one goal. Julia O'Neil and Sadie Clarkin each dished out one assist.

St. John Paul II 4, Westport 1: The Lions (8-1-1) continue to stay hot as they have not lost since their season opener. Sophie Stanley scored twice and dished out two helpers, while Kaylee Anthony and Mia Curley each netted a goal. Michaela Stampfl and Avery Crapo each chipped in one assist, while Madi Ross earned the shutout.

Nauset 5, Martha’s Vineyard 0: The Warriors (3-4-2) snapped a three-game slide with a win over the Vineyarders (0-5-2).

Cohasset 2, Monomoy 2: The Sharks (6-0-2) remain unbeaten as they ended in a tie.

Boys Golf

Carver 102, Mashpee 76: Liam Hansford led the way for the Falcons (0-9) with a 40. Gavin Lakatos (43), Tyler Carderio (43), Jason Merkman (44), James Benners (48), and Jackson Carlson (48) rounded out the top six.

Nantucket 249, Sturgis West 272: The Whalers (8-2) picked up the win over the Navigators (3-4).

St. John Paul II 7, Upper Cape 2: The Lions (11-0) won their 11th straight and remain unbeaten with a win over the Rams (7-3) at Sandwich Hollows Golf Course. The Lions (11-0) senior tri-captain Timmy Adams posted the day’s lowest score with a 38, followed by Sam Scioletti, who shot a 39. The Lions sealed the victory with the tandem of Matt Curley and Chris Heywood as they swept all three points in their match. Asher Graff paced the Rams with a 40, followed by teammate Matt Nawolchik with a 42.

GNBVT 254, Bourne 263: The Canalmen (7-3) were led by Griffin Kelly with a score of 41. Brett Lucier (42), Nate McDonnell (43), Ryan Burgess (43), Ronan Kelly (47), and Dana Leach (47) filled out the top six.

Dennis-Yarmouth 289, Cape Tech 299: The Dolphins (2-7) picked up their second win of the season at Dennis Highlands par 35. Ryan Clarke led the way with a 45, while James Mullen followed up with a 46. Sam Beebe (47), Kaleb Haddad (50), Adam Ruder (50) and Robbie McPhee (51) rounded out the top six. Brayden Wright led the Crusaders (0-10) with a 44.

Monomoy 256, CCA 276; Nauset 240, Monomoy 256: In a tri-match, the Sharks (6-3) beat the Seahawks (5-6), but fell short to the Warriors (8-2).

Sandwich 101, East Bridgewater 97: The Blue Knights (8-2) picked up a close win.

Martha’s Vineyard 150, Cardinal Spellman 118: The Vineyarders (3-3) are at .500 on the season after the win.
